İstaş Endüstri provides turnkey surface preparation and industrial coating services for structural steel, piping, pressure vessels and equipment. All works are performed under the continuous supervision of a NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector, ensuring every coat meets specification before application proceeds.

Surface Preparation

Correct surface preparation is the single most important factor in coating longevity. We offer:

• Abrasive blasting to SA 2½ and SA 3 (ISO 8501-1) using steel grit or garnet abrasive
• Sweep blasting for maintenance overcoating without full removal
• Power-tool cleaning (St 2 / St 3) for areas where blasting is not practicable
• High-pressure water jetting for contamination removal prior to blasting

Coating Systems

• Zinc-rich epoxy primer + epoxy mid-coat + polyurethane topcoat — standard atmospheric protection for structural steel and piping (C3 / C4 corrosivity categories)
• Thermal-spray zinc or aluminium — metallising for maximum long-term protection in aggressive environments
• Epoxy phenolic linings — internal lining of storage tanks, vessel internals and pipework carrying solvents or chemicals
• Heat-resistant coatings (up to 650 °C) for stacks, boiler casings and high-temperature piping
• Intumescent fire-protection coatings for structural steel
• Chlorinated rubber and vinyl coatings for immersion and splash-zone service

Quality Control

Our NACE Level 2 inspector is present throughout all stages of the work:

• Surface profile measurement (Testex tape / Elcometer 123)
• Wet film thickness check during application
• Dry film thickness (DFT) measurement to ISO 19840 / SSPC-PA 2
• Holiday / pinhole detection on immersion-service coatings
• Adhesion pull-off testing (Elcometer 106)
• Detailed inspection records and coating completion certificate on handover
